Catherine graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and was admitted to Practice in the South Australian Supreme Court in 2012.
Following her admission Catherine was associate to His Honour Justice Barr of the Northern Territory Supreme Court.
Following the associateship Catherine worked for leading Darwin Criminal law firm Maleys Barristers & Solicitors appearing in both the Local Court and Supreme Court of the Northern Territory. Catherine returned to South Australia for a short time in 2016 appearing in Magistrates Courts across Adelaide before returning to the Northern Territory as summary trial prosecutor in Katherine and surrounding bush Court circuits. Over the 5 years prior to joining the independent Bar in 2022 Catherine worked as a solicitor-advocate for legal aid and aboriginal legal services in Darwin, Alice Springs and Port Augusta.
Catherine has appeared as counsel in bail reviews, jury trials, committal proceedings and sentencing matters in the Northern Territory Supreme Court and in Magistrates Courts from Darwin to Victor Harbor and circuit courts from the Tiwi Islands to Mimili and many places in between. Catherine has appeared as junior counsel in homicide matters.
Catherine was born and raised in country South Australia and enjoys working in regional communities. Catherine provides advice and accepts briefs in criminal law matters.
