Jane is Head of Chambers.

Jane is briefed predominantly in criminal, workers compensation, disciplinary and coronial matters.  She appears regularly as counsel in trial and appellate matters, in State and Commonwealth jurisdictions.

Known for her committment, experience and skill, Jane is a highly respected advocate and lawyer. She is briefed in technical legal matters, and in matters requiring powerful advocacy and an understanding of trial and legal process. She is a coach in advanced advocacy for the Australian Bar Association, having coached criminal barristers from around Australia and internationally (including at the prestigious UK course provided for international participants at Keble College, Oxford).

Jane was admitted as barrister and solicitor in February 2001. She began her legal career at law firm Duncan Basheer Hannon, where she practised primarily in Workers Compensation. An Associateship in the Supreme Court of SA (during which she had been involved in the Snowtown Trial) led to her interest in Criminal Law. Over the last nineteen years Jane has appeared consistently as counsel in matters heard before juries, Judges and Tribunals in South Australia, and brings significant experience. She was admitted to the Independent Bar in 2012.

Jane is a member of the South Australian Bar Association and has been a member of the Bar Council since 2019.
